Common questions

I have zero CAD experience — do I need to provide anything technical?+

No. A napkin sketch, a verbal description, or reference photos of similar products are enough to start. I'll ask clarifying questions as needed and handle all technical decisions.

What if I only have a rough sketch and no idea what material or process to use?+

That's normal at this stage — recommending the right process and material based on your budget, volume, and function is part of the service, not something you need to know going in.

Can you take an existing half-finished CAD file and continue it?+

Yes. I regularly pick up projects mid-stream — a rough concept model from another designer, a file that stalled, or a CAD file you started yourself.

How many revisions are included?+

Design development is inherently iterative — the process includes review cycles until the design meets your intent before moving to prototyping. Scope and revision count get confirmed upfront based on project complexity.

How much does it cost to turn my product idea into a CAD design?+

Pricing depends on the number of parts, complexity, and how many revision cycles the design needs. After a short description of your idea you'll get a fixed scope and quote upfront, so you know the cost before any work starts.
